Sustainable Destination Wells Gray, British Columbia, Canada

Explore Wells Gray, where the roar of 41 named waterfalls and wildlife sightings are as common as the sunrise. Called ‘Canada’s Waterfall Park’, Wells Gray is one of the most unique landscapes in all of BC, with 1.3 million acres of alpine wilderness, born from volcanoes and carved by glaciers. It’s among the world’s only inland temperate rainforest and soaring mountain peaks that
you’ll find yourself.

Wells Gray Provincial Park protects over 5,200 square kilometres of critical wildlife habitats for caribou, grizzly bears and wolves. The Park also protects the old-growth rainforest and some of the largest and most voluminous watersheds in the world including the Clearwater and Murtle Rivers. Finally, Murtle Lake is North America’s largest paddle-only lake (non-motorized) with
over 100 kilometres of shoreline.
