Are you more expensive than other hotel booking sites?
No. The processing of your hotel reservation takes place via Booking.com. We use the same prices and exactly the same Best Price Guarantee as Booking.com. We donate half of the commission we receive from them to your selected charity while you pay the lowest price for your hotel.
Why do I need to give my credit card details?
Credit card details are requested to confirm your reservation with the hotel on your behalf. Neither Bookdifferent nor Booking.com will ever charge your credit card. Your credit card may be checked (pre-authorised) by the hotel to ensure it is valid and/or that sufficient funds are available.
Can I cancel or change my reservation?
Yes, it’s easy. Because the processing of your reservation takes place via Booking.com, the same cancellation policy applies. In that way we are not ‘different’. You can cancel or change your booking via the self-service tool My Booking on the Booking.com site (see your confirmation e-mail). Please remember to check the hotel’s cancellation policy before making any changes to your booking. Non-refundable rooms and other special deals may have a different cancellation policy. Cancellation details specific to your room are listed on our site when you select your hotel. When you select a hotel a blue rim appears. Click on the selected hotel to see the relevant information.
How much money will be donated to my selected charity?
The commission we receive from Booking.com varies per booking, which is why the amount donated varies. For every hotel booking made through our site, we guarantee that 50% of the commission will be donated to the charity of your choice. We use the remaining amount of money to cover the costs of keeping our site online.
Why can’t the exact amount of the donation be confirmed at the time of booking?
The booking is fully completed once you check out of your hotel. We receive the commission from Booking.com about one month later. At that point, half of the amount is donated to your selected charity. After the donation has been made, we send you e-mail confirmation with the exact amount of money transferred.
My favourite charity isn’t listed on the site. How can I add a charity?
A contact person from the charity can register their charity. Please feel free to contact the organisation you’d like to support and ask them to register their charity on our site.
Can I only choose one charity?
Yes, per booking you can only choose one charity. With future reservations you can choose another charity.
